What SketchAlong teaches

SketchAlong uses drawing activities and simplified interactive models to help children observe shapes, recognize components, understand basic relationships, and see simple mechanisms in motion.

What Build Along is

Build Along is an onscreen educational activity. Its illustrations intentionally simplify size, geometry, materials, connections, and mechanical behavior so children can understand the main idea.

What it is not

Build Along is not:

• a repair or maintenance manual
• a replacement for manufacturer instructions
• professional engineering guidance
• authorization for a child to open or dismantle a real object
• a guarantee that every real product uses the same design

Adult guidance

Children should ask a trusted adult before:

• using tools
• handling batteries or electrical equipment
• using pressurized equipment
• operating mechanical equipment
• working around heat or sharp parts
• opening, repairing, or taking apart real objects

Manufacturer safety instructions and qualified professional guidance always take priority.

Child-friendly product principles

• No child accounts.
• No scores or competitive rankings.
• No advertising directed at children.
• No AI-generated lesson content.
• No child-facing purchase prompts.
